Fawn Smooth, attracted me immediately I saw her. Wonderful head, moderately wide with lovely eyes. Lovely muscled and supple neck into very good shoulders, good fill in of fore chest and a very good depth of chest. She has a slight arch of loin with a correct width of muscle, this flows down to a moderate bend of stifle and well let down hocks. When she moves she makes it look effortless, with a light springy action with total precision. She carried on in the challenge for Winners bitch and also BOB. It was an honour to award her both the BOW and BOB.

Athena finished 2006 a Top Ten Show Saluki and was the only Open Field Coursing Saluki in the Top Twenty.

Athena went to KY at just 6 months old
She showed in 4 days of shows against some very tough competition at the St Louis shows on the way out.
On the first day she got RWB to the 4 point major that her mother Vogue won.

On the 4th day she took WB, BOW and BOS for a 4 point major under judge Allan Pepper

At the National she won both her 6 - 9 month futurity and sweeps classes

On the way back at the Gridley shows she took WB, BOS under John Shelton for 2 points

What a way to start out at just 6 months of age!

She also has 2 Best in Sweeps and a Best Opposite in Sweeps

Athena loves to run and is just learning to race.

Athena is now taking racing very seriously and is breaking beautifully from the boxes.
She loves it so much that she actually dives right into the boxes just like the pros
With some more racing under her belt and when she gains some needed confidence to hang in there through the bumping that sometimes goes on, she should be good

Here she is running NOTRA at the Iron Hound weekend September 06. She got 2nd and earned 3 NOTRA points. She is just 20 months old
